Caracalla IV Dimension Virtual reality and immersive experiences
Thanks to the use of virtual reality we can now offer our visitors the possibility to visit the Baths through a unique perspective, rediscovering how it would have looked when they were founded in 216 A.D.
A new visiting experience
The technology is based on a visor that holds a smartphone loaded with specific software: with simple commands managed by a single button, the device, which also features geo-location technology, reproduces the place where the visitor is standing through a unique, immersive perspective encompassing the entire field of vision.
This interactive ten-stage visit, six of which are delivered through virtual reality, offers a philological reconstruction of the sites thanks to the intelligent and innovative use of technology.
Scientific content and development of the guide
The contents conveyed by the Caracalla IV Dimensione guide are the result of over 20 years of study on the monument.
The images and texts proposed, highly legible and usable, represent a philological and scientifically correct reconstruction and arise from the synergy between the Special Superintendence of Rome, the National Research Council and CoopCulture.
